I perform high-level strategic consultancy in both software testing & development, and preferably in both as you can’t change one without it affecting the other.  Typical consultancies are often based on implementing risk-based testing across an organization and the setting up of testing centres of excellence.

I also carry out project- and programme-based consultancies in software testing, normally with the aim of test process improvement, often covering the specific area of improving test effectiveness.

Since 2008 I have also provided advice to organizations and projects transitioning to the use of agile approaches.  At a higher level, I led a project in Korea to design an agile ‘methodology’ for Korean SMEs that takes account of Korea’s unique culture, which resulted in LeDeMe (the Lean Development Methodology).

More recently I have been working in the areas of automotive and autonomous systems, and subsequently this has led me to a new research area in the testing of AI-Based Systems.
